there should be a seven star rating. i’ve been around ‘the rock’ and this is one of. good coffee, intentional furniture, great backstory (ask Brett), smart food. and then there is the eclectic group of people that hang out here. think chaos theory and merlin (clearly metaphor). the lse started as a coffee shop so.

First time at The Moon today, my girlfriend brought me to her favorite spot in town. Absolutely shocking how well the morning shift guy had to juggle but with effortless skill and kindness. The taste of the maple special and the eggnog special were GREAT! Very awesome experience and vibe, will be back

Wow, what a gem in Johnson City. Employees were genuine, kind, and hospitable. Very cute atmosphere and high quality, interesting beverages. You can tell their intention is to preserve the integrity of the tea and coffee they serve, rather than bury them under a bunch of artificial syrups. Highly recommend!

Huh - so I’ve lived in JC four years and only recently discovered this coffeehouse while perusing maps. Glad I did as they have a true coffeehouse vibe in addition to making great craft coffee’s.

Everything about this place is perfect. The space is cozy and always full of life. The coffee is all natural with some of the best in house made syrups you will ever taste and whether it’s hot or iced the drink you get here is like no where I’ve ever tried before! The owner is sweet and very personable and the staff he has chosen are all amazing baristas and even better people. I love visiting when in JC, there’s no place like it! I can’t wait to see it grow!

Loved the atmosphere! Loved my drink! Asked for a hot tea drink for a cold rainy day and my dry throat and loved the suggestion! Will definitely be back!

Quaint, hipster cafe, providing ambient lighting, earthy green plants, and the therapeutic aromatics of tea spices. Things you should know: I. PARKING The closest available parking is the 2 hour, free street parking. There are typically quite a few parallel spaces available off of the nearby perpendicular street (Colonial Way). II. SERVICE The staff is kind, timely, and open to giving recommendations. They provide sugar free syrup options for my friends that like guiltless options to mix-up their standard beverages. III. QUALITY I haven't had the tea to vouch for the quality but the cappuccino I had was up to par in flavor and gave me the boost I needed highly recommend. IV. CAPACITY Fairly busy for the afternoon on a weekday. Almost every seat was taken. This place appears to be good for camping out, studying, and knocking out work.

Tried for the first time today, was skeptical, but boy was I wrong for that! I like sweet coffee, I want to get a hint of the coffee flavor, but can't stand when it's overly bitter. Asked the owner for his recommendation for a sweeter drink, he made one, I told him I usually go for caramel flavored stuff, so he went back to his recommendation and said he could add caramel to it. SO good! And the owner was super friendly too, definitely will return soon!
